MY NEW PLACEMENT
So as some of you may know, last year I did my placement at Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinic in Angus. There, I worked as a Kinesiology Aid student, where I assisted in IFC treatments, ultrasounds, and developed exercise programs for patients. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, and I hope to be a physiotherapist myself in my future.
This year I decided to switch it up and change where I did my co-op placement. Being a teacher in my future isn't completely out of the question for me, so I decided to email some of my old teachers and see if I could have an opportunity doing my co-op at my old Highschool, NPSS.
Luckily enough, the two teachers I messaged got back to me and accepted me with open arms. I got an opportunity with my old AP biology teacher to assist in his Grade 11 biology class and his Grade 11 environmental sciences class, as well as my old Fitness teachers Grade 11/12 fitness class, and his Grade 9 boys gym class.
I've been in my placement for about a week now and I love it. The Grade 9 boys I teach in the morning are a great bunch of kids and they are willing to play any sport and try their hardest at whatever it is I set up for them. The Grade 11/12 fitness class is somewhat defensive and hasn't really come around yet, but I'm sure by the end of the year I'll have them warm up to me, hopefully :)
